Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park, Parksville

This beautiful park is a popular family vacation spot on Vancouver Island. Walk along the 2km beach and through the old growth trees. There are drive-in campsites, group campsites, walk-in campsites and a large day use area with loads of picnic tables.

At low tide, the ocean recedes almost one kilometre which makes it a perfect spot for beachcombing. When the tide rolls in, the sun-baked sand warms the water and makes it a perfect spot salt water swimming fun.

There is lots to do at this park, including: Nature House, Concession, Amphitheatre with programs daily during the summer months, 3 playgrounds (one with a bike track), camping. You can also rent SUPs and book park tours through www.rlcparks.ca
